In Guatemala, thousands of children go to bed hungry every night.
A silent, deep hunger that hurts… and steals smiles, dreams, and futures.
Chronic malnutrition affects thousands of children under the age of five,
especially in the poorest and indigenous communities.
But today, we have the opportunity to change this story.
At Misión ANINI, we believe something deeply true:

After 40 years of serving with love the most vulnerable children in Guatemala,
we understood that helping was not enough… we had to break the cycle of hunger.
That is how MLH – Hunger-Free Municipality was born. MLH is not an empty promise.
It is a clear and powerful strategy: to begin in one municipality, ensure that no one goes to bed hungry, and when we achieve it… move on to the next municipality: one at a time.
Two complete meals a day for children and families living in extreme poverty or severe malnutrition.
Real, measurable, sustainable results.

Hola. Quiero contarte algo muy hermoso que nos cambió la vida.
En Guatemala, hay historias que no salen en los titulares. Historias de familias que luchan cada día por llenar un plato de comida, por cuidar a sus hijos, por mantener la esperanza de salir de la pobreza extrema, la desnutrición y el hambre.
Conocimos a miles de niños que enfrentan desafíos enormes desde pequeños. No por falta de amor, sino por falta de oportunidades. Y eso nos hizo pensar: ¿cómo podemos cambiar esta realidad, paso a paso, sin rendirnos?
Durante estos 40 años de fundación, en Misión ANINI entendimos que no podíamos quedarnos con los brazos cruzados. Nos tomó casi un año estudiar cómo responder sin caer en el alarmismo ni en promesas vacías. Teníamos que poner los pies en la tierra.
Así nació una idea muy clara y muy poderosa: M L H, Municipio Libre de Hambre.
No es una campaña, ni una meta imposible. Es una decisión: empezar por un solo municipio de los 340 que tiene Guatemala. En ese lugar, trabajar con todo el corazón para que nadie se acueste con hambre.
La estrategia es concreta: dos comidas completas al día para quienes viven en pobreza extrema o enfrentan desnutrición severa. Cuando ese municipio esté libre de hambre, pasaremos al siguiente. Uno a la vez.
No estamos solos. Hay personas que creen que el cambio es posible. Personas que se unen, que comparten, que construyen algo nuevo desde el corazón.
Su participación no es solo un gesto más: es parte de una transformación que puede cambiar comunidades enteras. Es presencia, compromiso y esperanza.
Con su compromiso, no solo se cubre la necesidad inmediata de alimento, sino que nace un modelo que transformará para siempre la lucha contra el hambre en Guatemala.
